Partnering for another day of music

Record stores are an essential part of musical culture, and a great excuse to get together to share the tracks you love. That’s why we’re the official partner for Record Store Day.

Without music, we wouldn’t exist

Polished, commercial music has its place, but working with emerging talent, and small record labels is where we began, and we never intend to forget it.

Since vinyl records were the only way to listen to music on demand, high streets have transformed. With the changes, record stores were expected to be wiped out, but instead they’ve become an institution. Record Store Day honours both the unmistakable vinyl sound, and irreplaceable record store experience.

After the first U.S. event in 2008, Record Store Day has become an annual tradition, now in its sixteenth year involving music labels, bands, and brands just like us internationally. Record Store Day is now the largest single-day music event in the world.

Join us this spring

This year Record Store Day falls on April 20, and we’ll be co-hosting events at independent record stores all over the world, showcasing multi-sensory aspects of the vinyl listening experience. We’ll also be supporting music education, from the art of the album to the nuances of sound.

More than a store

Record stores aren’t just a place to buy music. They’re spaces to share sounds and stories, and they have helped shape the musical landscape we live in today. Our partnership with Record Store Day is our opportunity to help keep this tradition alive and give listeners a chance to explore music with all their senses.

Record Store Day online

We want to get music lovers into the stores, so although there is a website, the limited-edition records released for the day will only be available by physically attending an event.
