Submit your music
Getting the attention of labels, agents and promoters starts with a strong introduction. A well-crafted EPK shows who you are, what you do, and where you’re heading. Get it right, and it can open many doors. Here's how to make yours count.
WHAT IS AN EPK?
EPK stands for Electronic Press Kit. It is effectively a résumé or CV for your band or act. EPKs are submitted by email to labels, agents, promoters, venues - anyone who needs to understand your act and your music in a nutshell. An EPK usually takes the form of a PDF (or similar) sent out attached to an email. Your EPK should show pictures of the band, contain links to audio tracks and list your achievements. It should explain to the reader who you are, what your ideas are and where you want to go.

BEST PRACTICE
Your EPK and email should be treated as a professional introduction. Lead with your strongest material, make it easy to navigate, and keep all the information up to date. If you have upcoming shows, include them to demonstrate momentum. Where possible, personalise your email and send it from a named contact to make it feel human, and always give it a quick proofread before hitting send.
Things to keep in mind
Labels are usually looking for original material, so be honest and realistic about what you’ve achieved, and let your work speak for itself. Highlight what you can deliver live confidently and make it simple for people to access your work by using links instead of large attachments (avoid compressed files like .zip folders). After you’ve sent your email, give people a little time to get back to you, and when you do follow up, keep it friendly and polite.
ONE LAST THING...
Labels are looking for originality, potential and something they can develop. Your EPK doesn’t need to show everything, it just needs to highlight your best work and make people want to hear more. Make it strong. Make it clear. Make it count.
