Marshall and Awake NY

To celebrate and champion New York City culture, we collaborated with Awake NY, founded by Angelo Baque. Together, we redefined the city's creative landscape with a year-long event series, "Live from Awake NY", alongside exclusive product drops and a financial donation to support Queens Museum's Queens Teens Institute for Art and Social Justice.

Music is our first language; community is our second

The "Live from Awake NY" series aimed to bring the vibrant NYC community together through music and events at the Awake NY flagship store on the Lower East Side. The lineup featured a mix of emerging and established musical talent, including rappers Styles P and Anycia, Latin-Soul singer Joe Bataan and singer-songwriter Charlotte Day Wilson.

Where sound meets street culture

Combining iconic audio design with the dynamic spirit of street culture, the AWAKE NY x Marshall Acton III speaker celebrates sound as a bridge between art, design, and community. This collaboration shines a light on local creatives and offers a fresh perspective on audio's place in our lives, inviting people to pause, gather, and get inspired. It's more than a speaker; it's a catalyst for community and creativity.

Bringing memories to life through music

Rooted in nostalgia, the custom jukebox brings to life Angelo's childhood memories of visiting mom-and-pop Ecuadorian restaurants in Queens. Its design draws inspiration from the vibrant colours of the Ecuadorian flag, with intricate details harking back to the jukeboxes he saw growing up. The jukebox features a curated mix of music with bands, including Los Ángeles Negros, and blends soul, reggae, and hip-hop to reflect the diverse sounds that shaped Angelo's creative journey.
