We talk Eden Amps with Good Charlotte Bassist.

Read time: 3 mins

Tell us a bit about your rig and the Eden gear you’re currently using – what do you like about them?

I use the Navigator and the World Tour 1250. When I have to use rental gear (which is often), I always go for the classic World Tour 800, it’s a very reliable amp. I also use anywhere from 2 to 8 D410XLT Cabs depending on the size of the tour. I also run an Avalon DI, a Tech 21 SansAmp Tri-AC pedal and an Eden I90 Chorus Pedal.

What bass are you playing at the minute?

Lakland Skyline Series 55-60 Vintage J

Who would you say are your biggest influences growing up?

If we are talking about playing bass, I had a few. Mike Durnt, Kim Deal, Tim Commerford, Paul D’Amour, Les Claypool, Brian Ritchie and Eric Avery. I would sit and figure out by ear entire albums by each one of them. That’s how I learned to play, they taught me. I didn’t learn notes and scales until way later.

What does 2018 have in store for you?

We are back in full swing right now. We have a whole year of touring lined up, some shows have already been announced and can be found on our website. We are also currently making new music and planning on putting out a new record later this year.

Any advice to young, aspiring Eden bassists reading this?

Congrats on picking a great amp! You are about to be one “in demand” bass player. Have fun, do your homework, you’ll be fine. The Eden sounds good recording on your laptop at home, but it really shines when it is on stage, so get ready to play some shows.
